IMSML EXPERT PANEL
The International Malaysian Society of Maritime Law (IMSML) invites application from suitably qualified maritime professionals- master mariner, marine brokers, lawyers, seafarers and other such professionals- to bring their wealth of experience to bear through the IMSML Expert Panel.
Established to support the key objectives of our society as the rallying point for professionals in the maritime and mercantile industry, the Experts Panel is meant to provide technical expertise in primary areas of the maritime industry including commodities, navigational and marine technical input, to assist in arbitration and court, insurance and loss adjusting, forensic accounting, marine offshore energy, shipbuilding, legal and foreign law expertise and the like.
Among other things, it is expected that having this panel of experts in place will expedite the enhancement and promotion of maritime law and practice in Malaysia. It is also anticipated that the panel will inspire and identify the emergence of more leaders of thought within the maritime law sector. We expect that members of the panel will work closely with IMSML committee members to engender best practices in the maritime sector.

HOW TO JOIN ?
The Expert Panel is only open to IMSML members. Hence, any interested applicant who is not yet a member will first have to register to become a member of IMSML. Apart from paying their membership fee, successful members who qualify for placement on the Expert Panel are required to pay an annual panelship subscription fee of MYR 250.
There are two ways to be on IMSML experts’ panel. You could apply to be on the panel or be invited to join.
All applications can be downloaded online. Duly filled forms should be submitted with a copy of the applicant’s CV and other supporting documents.
IMSML committee members will carefully consider ALL applications and make the necessary selection. Successful applicants will be contacted once your application is approved, with details of payment of the panelship subscription fee.
IMSML Committee reserves the right to revoke, cancel, suspend or decline to renew panelship subscription at its sole discretion.
